The right method of doing asanas brings lightness and an exhilarated feeling in the body as well as in the mind, and an integration – a feeling of Oneness of body, mind and spirit. 

When you have mastered an asana, it comes with effortless ease and causes no discomfort. Your bodily movements become graceful. In your practice, your body assumes numerous forms of life found in creation – from the lowliest insect to the most perfect sage – and learns that in all these breathe the same Universal Spirit – the Spirit of God. 

By directing your actions, you gain control over the way you feel. Rightly performed, you will emerge from your yoga practices feeling fresh, relaxed, light and cheerful. This will strengthen you to

meet frustrations and discouragements that may come your way;

quieten the mind and unburden the heart;

feel blessed, your soul replenished, heart renewed;

stay calmer, confident and positive in all situations.

Be your own guru. Only you are in charge of your happiness. It’s not what happens to you, it’s what you do with what happens to you. Happiness comes from within. If you’re not happy, change. You have control over what you feel by what you do. Change your thoughts and what you say and do. Make up your own personal positive mantras (affirmations). By changing the way you think, you change the way you feel. 

By directing your actions, you gain control over the way you feel.
