It is not necessary to absent yourselves during menstruation. If the menstrual flow is in excess of normal, do not stand on your head or perform shoulder-stand during the period. In addition, the following (listed below) will be beneficial.

Upavistha Konasana, forward with twist;

Baddha Konasana, cross-legged sitting, head to feet;

Virasana, heel sitting;

Janu Sirasana, head to knee;

Paschimottanasana, full forward bend and

Uttanasana, standing legs wide apart, full forward bend
