• a weak heart – do not strain, especially with arms upwards or backwards.
• high blood pressure. No inverted poses.
• varicose veins. Do not hold any pose that shuts off the blood from your legs for any length of time.
• spinal trouble – do not hump your back when bending. Brace your lower back, pull your abdominals in and bend your knees. Attract the teacher’s attention to your disability before doing forward bends or spinal twists.
